In September 2016, the first semester of my Master’s of Digital Media at Ryerson, I worked alongside two fellow students to launch a web-based platform for facilitating art rentals across Toronto. Noting the rise of the sharing economy, as well as the growing number of young artists looking for early exposure in Toronto, we developed an idea that targets millennials. I worked as the graphic designer and web developer for the project. In our first week of operation, we collected over 50 pieces from young artists around Toronto for our digital library. In our last week of the semester, we presented in front of 10 panelists including Sean Wise from Dragon’s Den.
